Meet Tabby

One agent for your whole hiring loop.

Tabby coordinates between candidates, hiring managers and agencies, and reads your job posts, ATS and sheets, so it already knows where your company is today and what each hiring manager expects. That is its starting point for judging every profile that comes in.

How Tabby thinks

Four layers, one wire.

Every profile goes through the same loop, in Slack, with your team, without extra admin.

01 · Entry

Every profile lands in one place.

Forwarded by email, or dropped straight into Slack.

02 · Decision

Your team decides, with a reason.

One click: Yes, Maybe or No. Then they say why in the thread, in their own words.

03 · Memory

Tabby remembers why.

The next similar profile shows what your team decided, and why.

04 · Follow-through

Nothing goes stale.

A friendly nudge when a profile waits, and a short weekday morning digest.

Roles

The right person, at the right moment.

Set your open roles and who decides on each. A recruiter's Yes brings in the hiring manager.

Many ways in

Forward, drop, or point a mailbox.

Forward an email, drop a PDF or Word file in the channel, or forward your careers mailbox.

Yours

Your team stays in charge.

People decide. Tabby reads, summarises and remembers. A Slack admin can delete anyone's data on request.

Connect your careers mailbox
  • Google Workspace or Gmail: add a forwarding rule to your Tabby address. Google emails a confirmation code, and Tabby posts it in your channel for you.
  • Microsoft 365 or Outlook: an inbox rule that forwards to the address.
  • Careers page: keep it pointing at your own address and forward that mailbox. Candidates never see Tabby.
  • Job boards (LinkedIn, Naukri, Indeed): forward their notification emails. Only emails with a CV attached, or CV text in the body, become cards.

Questions

Common questions

What is 1597 OS, and what is Tabby?

1597 OS is a frontier recruitment lab. Our vision is to be the Cursor for recruitment teams. Tabby is our first agent: it sits between recruiting teams, candidates and hiring managers, and thinks like a staff engineer.

Is Tabby fully autonomous, or is there a human in the loop?

Both. Tabby does the busywork: it turns profiles into cards, remembers context and nudges when something waits. Every Yes, Maybe or No is made by your team. Nothing is auto-rejected.

Do we need to change how we work?

No. Tabby meets your team in Slack, where hiring conversations already happen. No new tool to log into.

What counts as a profile?

Each candidate card Tabby posts for your team. Decisions, comments and replies never count. Starter and Growth allowances reset on the 1st of each month.

What happens when I reach my limit?

Nothing is lost. Tabby holds new profiles safely, tells your channel once with your options (250 extra profiles for $15, or a bigger plan), and posts them as soon as there is room: after your allowance resets, or when you add more.

What is company context?

On Growth, Tabby adds one line about the candidate's current company (never about the person), with its sources, labelled "from the web, not the CV".

Is there a free trial of Starter or Growth?

No. The Free plan, your first 100 profiles, is how you try Tabby. Starter and Growth are paid from the start.

Do I need a card to start?

No. Adding Tabby to Slack starts your free profiles.

Can I cancel?

Starter and Growth are paid one month at a time and do not renew by themselves, so there is nothing to cancel. When the month ends you go back to the Free plan, and nothing is lost.

Does Tabby contact candidates and agencies?

Yes. Tabby drafts replies and messages for candidates and agencies on WhatsApp and email, answers their questions, and helps book calls. Nothing is sent without your team's approval unless you switch it to automatic. It is rolling out with early customers, so ask us on a call.

Who can see our profiles?

Only people in your Slack workspace and channel. Nothing is shared between teams, and a Slack admin can delete anyone's data on request.

What about Microsoft Teams or Google Chat?

Tabby works in Slack today. If your team lives in Teams or Google Chat, talk to us and we will tell you how soon we can be there.
